View these superb Priorat wines.

Mas Doix is a family owned winery renowned for producing wines that embody the characteristics of the vineyards. The family produces wines that transmit the inherent values of the vineyard and the characteristic terroir of the Priorat region.  The grapes reflect the surroundings, soil, slope, orientation, microclimate and native varieties. The family strives to produce great wines for ageing; exclusive wines, with strong personality and very limited production. The Doix/Llagostera family is committed to producing wines of elegance, balance, and structure.

Robert Parker has recognized Mas Doix on numerous occasions.

He awarded Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles 98 points in 4 vintages (4 consecutive reviews) and 97 points for the 2006 vintage.

Salanques 2006 was chosen as one of the “Top 100 wines of the year” in The Wine Spectator - November 2009 issue.

The Vineyards:

Mas Doix Estate Vineyards have ideal terroir for growing superb wine grapes. The properties of the sloped vineyards, with licorella slate soil and vine-stocks between 70 and 105 years, guarantees the availability of a reduced, but excellent, raw material (400 gr. by stock). During the last 90 years the passion and the constancy of the Doix family have made possible the conservation of the vines. Presently Mas Doix hold a total of15 ha. vineyards. The vineyards of Mas Doix are situated between 350 and 400 meters above sea level.  The vines vary in age, between 70 and 100 years old.

The goal of Mas Doix is to extract as much of the individual character of each parcel through the use of a variety of fermentation and elevage techniques.  Also, Mas Doix endeavors to manipulate their raw material as little as possible and follows eco friendly and organic practice which results in wines that reflect the true expression of the fruit.

The Doix family has been in the winemaking business in the Priorat region for the last 5 generations. However, it was not until 1998 when Ramon Llagostera took the reigns of the property and the wines began to experience worldwide fame.
